Hi all, Keo here!
I'm coming back to you with a fresh update, this time for Torulf's route! It's more than 11k words of new content across three different paths, all going all the way to the end of Day 3. Writing for this route is I think the most exhausting, so I'm pretty proud of myself for writing this much (the word count never includes code!) and pretty proud of the update too.
Apart from the new content for Torulf, the update also features a rework of two past Rune illustrations, both done for the upcoming Bjorn & Rune update, a preview of which is available on our Patreon already.

So I know everyone's super pissed at Torulf and I get why but I don't necessarily agree. Torulf is very upfront with his attitude, however, he has a predatory mindset in that the two people he's involved with are not as experienced with him and he either doesn't get that or is to irresponsible to care.
There is a difference in attitude even if the results are the same, in one he's oblivious, in the other he's more malicious.
He really should have taken a step back when he found out that he was Arvo and Lake's firsts (I don't remember if he's Lake's first I'm just making a presumption.) Problem is he's too keen to recapture the sense of adventure he had before his quarter life crisis to understand that as the older party he needs to be responsible.
tldr; he's very human with human flaws but if you want a good and responsible older partner go with Devon.
Looks like I'll have to reorganize my save files again, if every character is going to have 3-4 routes each. Ah, well.
Turns out I already had saves which lead directly into Dogtooth and Snouts, as well as one which was already at the mid-route ending where MC walks into the woods.
Looks like I may need to do another playthrough or two to find the third route that others are talking about, though. Not really sure where else in the story there could be potential diverging paths, I've already sided with Mikko, slept with (and not slept with) Torulf... what else is there?
I got the SALIVA route by choosing to eat only a burger during the restaurant scene in the town. Maybe try that?
It seems like that may have been it, thank you! I don't think I would've picked up on the possibility of eating a light meal to change the flow of the bar scene.
Man I'm so confused, at first I got torulf's route dogtooth, then I played Snout, and I felt heartbroken when he calls you creepy for getting attached, I haven't played saliva but I feel so bad for both the Mc and lake but at the same time i want the mc to have torulf all to himself
Yeah, but he can't have him. That's the whole point. Arvo and Torulf are friends with benefits, without the friends part. That's literally the very blatant summary of the problem - Arvo has an emotional attachment to someone who feels absolutely nothing but lust for him. Torulf drops meetings with Lake for Arvo just as easily as he sidesteps Arvo to go fuck Lake.
Why would you want Arvo to stay any longer in this abusive relationship?
As someone else put it, my headcannon Torulf route is the Lake route, where everyone are happy and Torulf is blueballed. xD

Oh nononono I've been following this for a while and I literally created an itch acc just to comment that I'm so sad about torulf's route (ive played dogtooth so far). It's just so manipulative and disheartening and idk if I can keep reading Torulf's route :( I feel so bad for Lake and his situation with Torulf...
On the other hand, I think a non-canon redemption arc for Torulf would be so good, like just an update or two for a happier closure yk? just a thought :)
Isn't everything outside the canon Mikko route non-canon?
oh gosh, I'm gonna need to reread the Torulf route. I had saved all my Torulf route saves in a single page, and changed the title to something like +fuck, - fuck, +Mikko, and whatnot but the title to the page got reset with the next update smdh
I think you made a mistake in the description on the main page - the preview update for Bjorn and Rune has never been released on itch, you must have meant Patreon.
EDIT: It's fixed now, cool.
Also god I'm tired of Gudrun hijacking routes. She is so pushy, and she's mean to Lake for no reason, I don't want to be her friend, but I get no choice...
p.s. Guys, I don't mind the downvotes, it's okay to disagree, but lets maybe have a conversation about this? I'm not just being a penis about this, I can defend this opinion, you know.

not sure if it was an intentional thing but it always gave me a feeling that some paths arnt really meant to end in the "happily ever after" trope for example mikkos route although him being the typical old best freind that you lost contact with it still dident end with you two ending together really more just setteling in a sense might just be reading too much into it but jus my opinion

They all didn't seem like good paths to me. I got Dogtooth and Saliva. I like the game and all just not Torulf's path very much. It's confusing and it sits a little too close to home in some situations.
Any idea what you did to get the Saliva route? I've gotten dogtooth and snouts, but what I thought was the third path is just an actual ending and thus doesn't go anywhere.

I got, "Saliva," which sucked. Hurt like the Dickens. It's sickening to see Arvo get played with so readily. Brings me right back to some bad experiences I had with someone who... Yeah, that doesn't matter.
Point is, "Snouts," one of the sub routes is a happy ending of sorts. How to say this without spoiling much... It's like... Like getting a wound disinfected.

Well I'm glad! Even tho...Torulf is still fucked up. I really loved what Dawn Chorus is doing here! Torulf s path is prob the most complicated.

Honestly? Lake is like. The good end route. (though the genre shift in Klaus' is a delight for me. Also holding out hope for Devon.)
I rather liked that one. It seemed the happiest of the sub routes I've played.
