Changes to the code for the current Rune we've made in v0.50 turned out to be incompatible with some of his older legacy expressions x.x were sorry for that, we'll fix it in the next update.

It always nagged me that Mikko somehow brought all that music equipment with one hiking bag before the intro change. Even Arvo mentioned it, bug got waved off by Mikko. Glad that can be explained now, hehe.
When Arvo takes his first picture in the camp, he captures an eagle in the corner of his photo. Right after this, after his nap, the title card appears. The eagle is also in the top right corner of the title card.
When I play Jake's Day 3 there's an error, in the gallery there's an error too and Jorgen's Day 2. Im using android phone. Hope it will fix soon. Thank you. Sorry im not good in english 🥲
Ok, so it worked after i uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times, something i noticed while installing it was it made me install several versions, I'm not sure if its a big deal, but i might as well bring it up to you just in case. Btw you can see the two different versions in the pictures i sent. This black one is the one that worked, the green one was installed several times on my device while i attempted to install the newest version.
hm well looking through the game files that specific scene isnt in the main cg folder, rather in the cg\nsfw folder, but it works for me so i have no idea
actually, i take that back, i'm getting the exact same crash (just never noticed it cuz its on the last page). looks to be sqee or whoever organized the cg's forgetting to change the directory of thumbnails oops...
Where do I even begin? Dawn Chorus is so unbelievably special to me that I can't even put it into words. Literally. I would like to try and explain how I feel about this VN, but I wouldn't even be able to make the writing as poetic as it is in the game. I've never experienced such a real story and I feel like playing this VN slightly changed me as a person for the better. I just truly want to thank everyone on the dev team for everything they've ever done to put in work into this game. This was my first ever VN and I can't believe how much of an emotional journey it took me on, I even recommended it to some friends because it's that good! Which is something I've only ever done for a hand full of media in general. Especially with me being secretive about being a furry, I felt confident in telling them about this game and my identity. I could never have asked for a better first experience than reading Dawn Chorus for the first time. What an incredible game, and so much more! I can't wait for day 5! And I will never forget the excitement, joy, happiness, and sheer experience of reading this VN when it is finished. You know when people ask, "If you could do something again for the first time with no memory, what would you do?" You guys made it really easy to find an answer to that. I love this game so much and I can't help but feel anything else but pure gratitude as I attempt to pour my heart onto this page. Thank you for making this game, truly <3
everyone is always disappointed when they find out travis isnt an actual route so adding him to the list would just add more salt to the wound. also im pretty sure guthrun has an actual mini-route (maybe they could do smth like that with travis but definitely after day 5 is done)

Bjørn's dream about the train is basically Giovanni vibes. Quiet, reflective, wandering between past and future, trying to make sense of things. Arvo is totally his Campanella , keeping him grounded while he drifts through his thoughts.

Arvo is that friend who notices when people drift apart or just barely connect. That poem fits him perfectly-thoughtful, a little melancholy, aware that moments of closeness don't last forever.
Rune-“Black Dog” by Arca
Rune hides a lot behind ambition and self-control, but that song is basically him in audio form. Anxiety, self-pressure, feeling adrift... his mushroom trip is like a literal storm of everything he's been bottling up.
Jørgen-"Isobel” by Björk
Jørgen's punk/lit/activist mix screams "Isobel". He's independent, expressive, trying to balance his true self with the outside world. Rebellious but vulnerable, kind of like he's living his own art piece.
Lake-“Big Yellow Taxi” by Joni Mitchell
Lake's fun and lively, the guy who lights up a room. But underneath, there's that "Big Yellow Taxi" vibe the reminder that good times (or people) don't last forever. He's joyful, but you notice the fleeting edge if you look closely.
Mikko-“The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost
Mikko is the “what if?” guy-Arvo's childhood friend who reminds him of home and the life he could have had. That Frost poem nails it: paths diverging, choices shaping who we are.
Klaus- idk what to say about this creepy cat
Torulf-“Invictus” by Henley
Torulf is strong, proud, unyielding. Henley's poem sums him up: “I am the master of my fate.” But that toughness hides the fact he often carries stuff alone. Solid, dependable, with a quiet weight.
Devon-"Stroszek" by Werner Herzog
Devon left the U.S. because it wasn't safe for him as a queer person. Moving to Norway gave him freedom, but it's that quiet, bittersweet kind-ike Srroszek, surviving, resilient, a little melancholy, but steady. He's calm and strong, but you can feel everything he left behind.
So, we know that Bjørn and Arvo watch Night on the Galactic Railroad together, and it’s hard not to notice the parallels with the movie’s characters. Personally, I think Bjørn is 100% Giovanni.
Arvo, then, naturally takes on the role of Campanella. He’s the supportive, grounding presence, guiding Bjørn through his emotional landscape simply by being there. Their dynamic perfectly mirrors Giovanni and Campanella’s bond: one reflective and searching, the other warm, attentive, and steadfast. Watching the movie together isn’t just a casual moment it’s symbolic of their shared journey, companionship, and the comfort of having someone by your side while facing life’s uncertainties.
One of the clearest parallels between the anime and the VN is Bjørn’s dream in which he is on a train. Just like Giovanni, he finds himself in a quiet, surreal journey that feels both dreamlike and symbolic. The train represents a transitional space between past and future, solitude and connection mirroring Bjørn’s own inner journey of self-discovery and reflection.
Arvo, who accompanies him in real life, echoes Campanella’s role: a comforting, supportive presence that helps him navigate this emotional and existential landscape. Even small moments, like watching Night on the Galactic Railroad together, reinforce this parallel the VN turns the anime’s themes of companionship, introspection, and fleeting moments into an intimate, lived experience between Bjørn and Arvo.

Finally finished Devon's route. Got to admit, it certainly had a different flavour than what I thought it would be.
I love how each route has their own uniqueness, rather than one defined theme. Another thing I quite enjoyed was the largely written sections in Devon's route. I don't think some would share the same sentiment; but it's quite a refreshing breath of air that you were to remove the visual part in a visual novel for just a couple moments.
It's getting late... I wish I could write a little more, but I'm not in the headspace for that. Have a goodnight, I wish you have the best night c:

Love this VN but I've gotten weird UI issues on the newest version. I will say its been a few updates since I've updated, so it may not be the most recent update that caused the issue but the menu/skip/etc buttons are weirdly small, and the text is smaller than I remember but not that much an issue. Its mostly the skip button and stuff being very difficult to press on my phone, being exceedingly small and if this is intentional I would like a setting if possible to change this.

I haven't played this game since 2021, I'm happy that they added Legacy mode, I did't really like the new sprites, I find the old ones better and more expressive. I ran into a crash at the lobby scene after the power outage. In legacy mode activated, otherwise it doesn't crash. I'm really happy that it's still in development or that it wasn't abandoned.
It's very nice that you guys are reliably putting out updates for this to this day, I remember finding this game as a teenager and loving it. I really can't wait to see what you do with these guys, I won't forget any of them.
So I'm returning to this game after about a year now, and I dont know if I'm misremembering but I remember the illustrations being painted, were they not?
mikko route is a full emotional experience disguised as a furry visual novel. would recommend to anyone wanting to cry over some pngs on a screen. 11/10
Rune just has a cute aura to him. you look at him, and you can tell he's sweet. The best way I can describe it, If you made a bunch of other jock furry characters, and then put Rune next to them, he wouldn't fit in. He'd stand out. That's his whole thing.
Rune is his own person. He's uniquely kind and approachable, to the point where the way the MC describes him in the narration just does not match up with what you see. I feel like if i knew this person as a jock at school, I really wouldn't see him as larger than life and intimidating. Just look at him in this picture, does he look like he'd shove Mikko in a locker?
Rune looks like he goes to church with his grandma, and that's why people like him. He's too nice to be anxious around.
If you want me to be honest? I don't like the old sprites as much as the new ones, I think it may be nostalgia factor for a lot of people, and the new sprites for Lake and Bjorn are just so beautiful dude. That's my sincere opinion, I'm sorry, It's not like the old ones are ugly or something, they just look off when you compare it to the rest of the VN and the CG's, like they are different characters.
agreed, the new sprites feel a lot more mature, i cant imagine doing a route like mikko with his goofy old sprite starting at me although not to say the old ones were bad, they bring a lot of liveliness, but as the game got deeper the sprites were definitely in need of a change
Rune's getting a minor rework at the moment, we're going back to the front-facing head. I (Keo) personally share your feelings regarding him, but seeing the new designs, I think Haku has recaptured the magic of the previous sprite.

For those that are still having issues with a similar error: It simply means you are low on space. If not, then I can't help much sadly.
