On this page there’s a patch 0.50 dev log. Click on it, and in the first paragraph there should be something like “…hosted on our Patreon, here”. Click it.
It explains it in the post itself, but just download the apk file, or if you already have the app, it should have the option to “update” it. This is version where you can enable NSFW in the “preferences” tab of the game.
If you want the SFW only version, just download the latest one from itch.io.
Explanation (you dont need to read this):
Pretty much what happened is that itch.io removed all the NSFW content, or at the very least heavily censored it from their website, if im not wrong. So any version on itch.io will be SFW only for the foreseeable future, and any NSFW version will be on another site, like Patreon in this case.
Yeah this stopped weeks ago, nsfw games are allowed again, i think its only a select few categories that are banned... stuff like incest, r*pe, ect. Though im not 100% sure i do know the nsfw ban has been lifted for the most part. As games like BDCC and Tennis ace are able to be seen again just by typing nsfw furry games android.

I remember I played torulf's route and I enabled nsfw mode like a year ago xD Now I checked, but my gallery doesn't have Torulf's nsfw scene, preferences menu doesn't include an option in there and Starting a new game doesn't pop up the choice menu either. I'm not sure what changed, but does Dawn Chorus have another patch for nsfw content?
Only some of the saves, made in the last two updates, should be incompatible. If none work, we recommend using Jump to route option, and then skipping text with Ctrl button. Sorry for the inconvenience!
to add onto what the team said: you can use the console (you will have to create an options.rpy in dawn chorus\game with the text "define config.console = True") to jump to a specific portion (the command is jump.dayX_day_part, with X being the day and day_part being the name of the chunk, you might have to dig in game files to find that specific name). do note that the game might break if any major dialogue choices were skipped.

Apparently the gallery of the game doesn't work on my Android when I go further past Torulf shower CG. I tried to reboot the game, but still got the same error. Did the CG gallery section got misplaced or what?
yup, if you look at the files you'll see that the torulf shower thumbnail was placed into the nsfw cg folder, but the calls for it were not changed, so it is trying to pull a file that doesnt exist (in that location) anymore. happens on all devices to my knowledge, you could in theory mess with the code yourself but that would be very complex so for now you can just extract the archive.rpa with a tool like rpaextract, or just simply go back to an older version to see the cgs on that page.
Just curious, but on android when Arvo first enter his room, you don't get any options to visit either Lake, Mikko, and maybe none, unlike on windows, where you do.
More about it is in the latest devlog. The current build should work on Mac, we have tested it on one machine, but I've heard of one other case of the VN not launching when NSFW patch was applied.
Right click and "Show Package Contents", Contents > MacOS > Dawn_Chorus to open app directly through terminal. A little janky to open but runs the same.

Changes to the code for the current Rune we've made in v0.50 turned out to be incompatible with some of his older legacy expressions x.x were sorry for that, we'll fix it in the next update.

Ok, so it worked after i uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times, something i noticed while installing it was it made me install several versions, I'm not sure if its a big deal, but i might as well bring it up to you just in case. Btw you can see the two different versions in the pictures i sent. This black one is the one that worked, the green one was installed several times on my device while i attempted to install the newest version.

Where do I even begin? Dawn Chorus is so unbelievably special to me that I can't even put it into words. Literally. I would like to try and explain how I feel about this VN, but I wouldn't even be able to make the writing as poetic as it is in the game. I've never experienced such a real story and I feel like playing this VN slightly changed me as a person for the better. I just truly want to thank everyone on the dev team for everything they've ever done to put in work into this game. This was my first ever VN and I can't believe how much of an emotional journey it took me on, I even recommended it to some friends because it's that good! Which is something I've only ever done for a hand full of media in general. Especially with me being secretive about being a furry, I felt confident in telling them about this game and my identity. I could never have asked for a better first experience than reading Dawn Chorus for the first time. What an incredible game, and so much more! I can't wait for day 5! And I will never forget the excitement, joy, happiness, and sheer experience of reading this VN when it is finished. You know when people ask, "If you could do something again for the first time with no memory, what would you do?" You guys made it really easy to find an answer to that. Lake's fun and lively, the guy who lights up a room. But underneath, there's that "Big Yellow Taxi" vibe the reminder that good times (or people) don't last forever. He's joyful, but you notice the fleeting edge if you look closely.

Mikko is the “what if?” guy-Arvo's childhood friend who reminds him of home and the life he could have had. That Frost poem nails it: paths diverging, choices shaping who we are.

it should still run, it seems that somewhere in the code an extraneous nsfw term is undef. simply press ignore and go on about wwith the story.

If you delete everything from it on your PC, that should be enough. In case of Android, simply delete and reinstall the VN!

These options appear only if you've ever got their routes on the device you're playing on!
