Hey i have been loving this game for a while but i was thinking recently if its possible it would really be cool if we could have a setting to switch between the old and new models for the character idk for everyone else but at least for me they are really nostalgic i really injoy both so being able to switch between um would be very very fun. If anyone agrees let me know in a reply cause im very curious to know how many of yall agree 🙂
OG Player here. May I just say the art style was a huge change that personally, I think paid off. It took a while for me to get used to it. But everything just looks so much smoother now. I am gonna miss the semirealism effect of some drawings as they get converted, as they likely will, but I see it as a better thing.

Yeah, but the illustrations often won't match with the sprites or even between them, and while it's not a problem for me, I still think it's a downside of this awesome game
Yeah I just figured that out. Honestly, I feel like there should be an option to toggle the old sprites. But then again as the game gets more updates, new characters might be introduced and you can't really get old sprites for a new character.
I never said it would get me out of the game! I love this game too much for sprite changes to get in my way. I was just expressing how surprised I was lol
yo, dawn chorus or any one who knows, i would really want to know where the hotel is or what is called. i would really like a google maps link if that's ok?
i have done some investigation on the location of things in the vn compared to irl (screenshotting backgrounds and google reverse searching) and with the help of some dialogue and context clues, i believe dawn chorus takes place somewhere in the outskirts of Tromsø (most probably somewhere on the island of Kvaløya because that way the guesthouse would have a view of the city and the sea, as is implied in some dialogue) I don't know if there IS a real guesthouse on the real island but i presume it must be inspired by something similar somewhere nearby-
it doesn't really seem like there is any directly in kvalöya, and i think the name of it is morgensong (björn said so in the game). i think we mostly need the creator of dawn chorus to tell us if there is one or not ;-;
to be fair i don't really expect there to be a physical real inspiration, almost all of the real places (or their analogues) depicted in game use real photos as background, while the guesthouse almost exclusively uses cg renders.
and on that note geographical accuracy isn't really given much importance (which is fine), just look at rune's tea house, for which the exterior is an irl gay bar in iceland, but the inside uses images from a tea place in poland- or the philharmonic which doesn't look like the one in tromsø but is a perfect match to the national forum of music in Wrocław

iirc keo's trying to find inspiration for the following days of the route, as they feel that the more time they wait to write the continuation of the route, the better it'll be. so it's definitely going to be coming out eventually. just nobody knows when that'll be. as for how to access his route...

2. Do the Klaus event when given chance on the first day. Make sure you talk to him and follow him all the way into the woods.
3. After that follow...
3.a) the Bjorn route, in which case just wait till you get a chance to chase after Klaus into the woods again.
3.b) the Devon route, in which case don't help him with telescopes and talk to Klaus in the cafeteria
I'm absolutely loving this visual novel so far. Everything from the music, to the scenery, to even the characters is beautiful. I'm going through the route with Bjørn right now and everything feels just so peaceful and nice. 10/10 visual novel so far.
I played this and would say it was really good, loved everything about insightful writing with the bits of poetry that wonderfully play along with the themes, soundtrack and the art is stunning, someone really put their heart and soul into this for years and years and it shows BUT

this is the first route i took, I got really invested in this and holy fuck it feels like you get a chair broken over your head and can't do anything about it, I don't think this is the end but why would you say the game say the game is wholesome as a blanket statement right now , I was not up , or remotely ready for this :(:(.

I have a question. I absolutely loved this novel, I just did Rune’s and Bjorn’s route but it was amazing. The problem is that I hate being in a novel and then it ends brutally because the game isn’t finished yet. I want to fully discover this novel when it releases completely does anyone knows when it will be completed.

Really love Dawn Chorus and the recent update for Bjørn. His story really resonated with me as I had changed my major a lot in Uni and was just going through the motions balancing my love for reading and writing with "practical" degrees and I really felt a connection to his route. Mild spoilers but later in some routes there is party, and got me wondering if Travis will also have a route? I think him, Klaus and Mikko are the routes I'm also curious about.
I really LOVED the new Bjørn update. I'm still a little confused about the continuity of his story line because it flip flops on facts a few times, but he's probably my favorite out of the bunch. Him and DEVON 🥺 Probs cause I relate to them a lot. Anyway, It was absolutely LOVELY. I'll probably go play it again tbh...

The last message Klaus wrote was talking about where to go if we wanted to find him, and it was the door next to the Sauna...Now dosen't RUNE on this SAME DAY go up on the roof and look at the stars at this point?? WAS KLAUS LEADING US TO THE CORRECT RUTE OF THE GAME??? Cuz he was talking about how everything has to happen for a purpose! HOLY SHIT AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Pretty sure you got as far as I got in Klaus route, which is day 2.
Jorgen route has an appearance of Klaus doing some art project in the city during day 3 (iirc) which means that at least in the non-route timeline Klaus does that during day 3 but I haven't found a way to reach day 3 with him
The fact that he goes to Dan's hut regardless makes me think that his actions are the same in route and non-route timeline, and the fact that is day 2 has neither credits not the normal "work in progress" text makes me think it's a sort of reset mechanic where you have to do something right to get the route using the lead he gives you. The problem being the missing piece between the roof of the guesthouse and the city.
That or the same is true except Klaus' route isn't updated, which would be a shame since it's been a long time

I dont know if I should hate you with all my heart or if I should give you all my money. Even if im french, reading all story you made, being horrified about Torulf, being so happy for Rune ... This have been a mind-blowing experience. Im a kind of Jorgen guy, i talk to much, its hard for me to make friend, because I dont want the pain than can appear if I make a wrong step. I never really tried to reach out for other. I was planning on going into an university, in France, doing my research, being a scientist. But this game helped me understand, how love, friendship, or jsut socializing are such powerful things, who can help you go over any obstacles. I never felt so happy before playing this. I really feel like im actually going to make friends, and maybe find someone to love. and would love me back. And, you made me start somethings I would have never been thinking to be able to do. hobbies yes, but also moving out of France. I wont do the university in my country. I will move, further away from it. ( probably in a cold country? I love snow and the panorama from the game didn't deceive me ) Without this game, and how I saw how travelling away from your country and home could bring such wonderful things, I would have never been able to.
So far this game have unlock something in me, I ever felt different, Autistic, TDAH, THQI ... I was thinking thos things were keeping me away from other. than I would never been able to do suche coureagous things as they do, flirting, moving in another country, saying than your not straight etc ... . But this game, and I know its jsut a fiction but anyway, made me feel like I could do such things. It open my future, in the best way I could imagine.

Its like the most mysterious character and he have is own little sprite, like other character with a route.
But yeah, Klaus is .... WHAAAAAAAT ?!

Found an error on Day 2, Torulf's route. Lake isn't present in the scene, yet it says that Arvo sits down next to them.
Arvo also mentioned needing to give Devon his jacket back, despite having never received it in this particular playthrough.
