v0.32.2 - a minor update
Dawn Chorus » Devlog
Hi all!
I've uploaded a revised v0.33 update with a few minor changes. No new content, just a few changes:
1. The biggest one is an expanded and slightly rewritten bad end from the last Mikko update. I focused completely on the main path and the bad ending didn't get as much polish as it should. The updated version is still the same scene and course of events, but more true to my vision and obvious in intent.
2. There's now a new loading animation with Devon!
3. Some minor fixes for inconsistencies and typos
Also, as I've seen a few people wondering about that - the last update wasn't the last one for Mikko and, other than the bad end, it's not the definite ending.

**Spoiler Alert**
Wait, you're telling me the ending where Mikko freaks out, completely dumps Arvo as a friend, and we never hear from him again isn't the bad ending? In that case, can we get an ending where Mikko actually stays with us, rather than Mikko leave us no matter what we do or change?
Nope. We're never getting a happy ending, because the writer is a disturbed individual and thinks making cringe endings is art.
Still, not as bad as the bad Torulf ending, where you get to be in the skin of not one, but two abused individuals in the presence of their merry abuser.
That's not an ending yet though I think. I'm pretty sure there's more to it than that. Just hasn't been updated yet
*Spoilers again*
You should recognise the bad ending when you see it. Arvo doesn't head back to the cabin after Mikko proper goes insane. If Arvo heads back to the cabin, then that isn't an ending.
Spoilers
Damn. Was hoping the rewrite would make the scene a little less uh...
sadistic. Well I guess it was a little by removing the mentions of the axe having actually been swung at him like the original. Ah well. Fun to read regardless. Thanks for expanding it!wait how to get the bad ending?
At the beginning of Mikko's route, don't go with him (The scene where he works on his music outside and Arvo hugs him). You'll lock in the bad end. I wouldn't suggest doing it though as it kind of soured Mikko's route for me a bit.
what happens in the actual bad end?
Spoilers:
Mikko leads Arvo out and things play similar to the normal ending at first. Mikko tricks Arvo with a hug in order to handcuff him to a tree. He then proceeds to berate Arvo and tell him that he keeps getting close and pushing him away. Mikko then swings an axe he brought and things go black (in the original writing he embeds the axe in the tree by Arvo's head, that was removed in the update). You regain perspective of Arvo and find that Mikko abandoned him, still cuffed in freezing cold temperatures supposedly with the key nearby. Eventually the wolf stranger that you can meet in a few of the other routes happens upon Arvo and frees him. Arvo then decides it's a good time to go home and heads to town in order to leave. The end.
