Hi, Keo here,

Today we're publicly releasing the v0.4 build of Dawn Chorus, aka Spooktober update. In addition to the new scenes happening chronologically after the last update, inside you will also find a continuation of Klaus scene written for the Spooktober. We hope to spook you all with that one, we've put a lot of work into it, so be sure to check it out! To access it you need to take a walk in the forest after first meeting with Torulf, and follow Klaus into the deep forest. Who knows what you might find there? 

The update in total has around 11k words in addition to what already was in the game, however around half of that is the Klaus Spooktober scene. This time we've went back and did some changes too: now you meet Bjørn before lunch, and the scene in the common space with Torulf now has a CG! Tintiai did a great job with that one, so make sure to check it out.

We decided to postpone the implementation of the map until we have a clear vision of how we want it to look and function, and in the end only one CG was drawn for this update. We've converted all the audio files into lighter formats, so this build is noticeably lighter too. For some reason it's possible that this time Skip functionality might not detect the lines you've already seen in the previous builds, our playtester observed that unfortunately, so we recommend using Skip Unseen option.

One thing we've added to the public build that wasn't present in Patreon one is Discord Presence integration (huge thanks to MelodicStream for helping us with this one) - you can turn it on and off in the options, however to apply the change you need to restart the application.
